FET Alumni Insights: Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers at Multimedia University
On January 24, 2025, the Alumni Committee of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) at Multimedia University hosted an Alumni Sharing Session featuring Mr. Muhammad Jalaluddin Jamri, a Field Service Engineer with Cohu Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The session, titled “My Journey After MMU,” was conducted online and attended by 27 engineering students.
Transition from Student Life to Professional Role
During the session, Mr. Jalaluddin, who obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Electronics (Telecommunication) in 2021, discussed his transition from student life to a professional role within the semiconductor equipment manufacturing sector. He highlighted the significance of maintaining a positive outlook when pursuing career objectives and provided practical advice regarding job interview preparation, which included important tips for students preparing to enter the workforce.
Interactive Discussion and Student Engagement
The event featured an interactive discussion and a question-and-answer segment, facilitating direct engagement between the students and Mr. Jalaluddin. Participants provided feedback indicating that the session was both informative and relevant to their career development, with numerous attendees expressing interest in participating in similar alumni sharing events in the future.
