Pet Boarding Services During Homecoming: Trust RSHP IPB University for Your Animals

The Teaching Animal Hospital (RSHP) at IPB University is providing pet boarding services during the holiday season, highlighting its status as the largest facility of its kind in Southeast Asia. According to information from Prof. Gunanti, the Director of RSHP, the facility offers a spacious environment that includes adequate cage capacity and dedicated play areas for animals, differentiating it from traditional veterinary clinics.
Facilities and Services
The hospital is staffed by specialized veterinarians and includes various clinics, such as a cardiology center, a dermatology clinic, and a Diagnostic Imaging Center (DIC), alongside a comprehensive laboratory and other support services. Prof. Gunanti noted that pets boarded at RSHP have opportunities for supervised walks in a garden area twice daily, which may help to alleviate stress and encourage appetite.
Animal Accommodations
RSHP caters to a wide range of animal species beyond just dogs and cats, accommodating rabbits, turtles, iguanas, horses, cows, sheep, goats, and pigs. It is important to note that pets must meet specific health requirements prior to being admitted, including being in good health and having up-to-date vaccinations. Treatments for fleas and deworming are required to be completed at least one month before boarding, and any illnesses detected during the pre-boarding check-up must be addressed.
Boarding Facilities
The boarding facilities offer individual cages, separate food and water containers, and daily oversight by veterinarians. Owners also have the option to supply their own pet food. In terms of capacity, RSHP can accommodate up to 100 cats, 50 dogs, 10 horses, and 6 cows.
Cost of Services
For those considering RSHP’s pet boarding services, the estimated costs are structured as follows:
- Administrative Fee: IDR 20,000
- Consultation Fees: IDR 60,000 for cats; IDR 70,000 for dogs and exotic animals
- Health inpatient care fees are based on the pet’s weight, ranging from IDR 70,000 to IDR 95,000 per day.
These fees encompass dry food but do not cover specific dietary needs, medications, disposable materials, or any additional medical treatments that may be necessary.
