UTM Celebrates Outstanding Postgraduate Achievers at the 68th Convocation Ceremony

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) recognized its top postgraduate achievers during the UTM Best Postgraduate Student Award Ceremony, held at the Pulai Springs Resort on November 15, 2024. This event was a prominent feature of the university’s 68th Convocation Ceremony, which celebrated the accomplishments of 189 postgraduate students.

Ceremony Highlights

The ceremony honored several graduates for their distinguished achievements. Dr. Nur Syafika Artika Rahim, associated with the Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, received the MTDC Innovation Excellence Award. Similarly, Dr. Areen Sherryna Abdul Halim was presented with the Best Student Award from the Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, noted for her exemplary academic performance and influential research contributions.

International Recognition

Internationally, Dr. Zerga Abdel Moumin Yahia, who completed his PhD in Environmental Engineering, was recognized for his efforts in addressing critical environmental challenges.

Keynote Address

During her keynote address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Hazarina Hashim, Chair of the School of Graduate Studies (SPS), articulated the significance of the event.
