Staff Expert of the Minister of Religious Affairs Visits UIN Surakarta and Delivers Important Message
UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta (UIN Surakarta) received an important visit from Dr. Faisal Ali Hasyim, Expert Staff for Law and Human Rights to the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. He was warmly welcomed by university leaders at the Rector’s Guest Room on Thursday (9 April 2026).
During his visit, Dr. Faisal also served as a guest lecturer in a session titled “Strengthening Risk Management in the Governance of Islamic Higher Education Institutions: Perspectives on Supervision and Integrity,” held at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) auditorium.
In his lecture, he emphasized the importance of risk management in organizational governance, noting that every institution faces potential threats and uncertainties. Effective risk management, he explained, ensures that institutional goals remain on track despite challenges.
He also encouraged university leaders to identify their institutional strengths and compare them with other universities, highlighting religious studies as a unique comparative advantage of Islamic higher education institutions. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of developing a clear roadmap toward becoming a world-class university.
In addition to the lecture, Dr. Faisal inaugurated the Digital Business Laboratory at FEBI and toured campus facilities, appreciating the university’s ongoing development.
