Susumu Kitagawa Receives Nobel Prize in Chemistry at Award Ceremony

Susumu Kitagawa, serving as the executive vice-president for research promotion at Kyoto University and holding a distinguished professorship at the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Studies, has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. The award ceremony took place on December 10, 2025, at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Sweden. During the ceremony, King Carl XVI Gustaf presented Kitagawa with a medal and certificate.

Subsequent to the ceremony, a dinner was hosted at Stockholm City Hall in honor of the laureates.
