UTB-STE Connect 2025 Dinner: Celebrating Contributions to Science, Technology, and Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Brunei

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) hosted an appreciation dinner at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong to acknowledge the contributions of various stakeholders involved in the UTB-STE Connect 2025 congress, which focused on Science, Technology, and Engineering. The event aimed to recognize the efforts of co-organizers, keynote speakers, sponsors, paper presenters, participants, and the organizing committee.

Guest of Honour

The dinner featured the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Proceedings commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a welcoming address from Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Mohamed Hasnain Isa, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) and Chairperson of the STE Conferences Committee.

Memoranda of Understanding

A significant aspect of the evening was the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding between UTB and several partnering institutions and industries, including Curtin University Malaysia, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Advancelink Company Sdn Bhd, and Han S.L Sdn Bhd.

Certificates of Appreciation

Certificates of appreciation were awarded to co-organizers such as Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), ASEAN University Network (AUNSEED-NET), COMSTECH, IBM, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), among others.

Sponsors

Sponsors for the UTB-STE Connect 2025 congress included Unified National Networks (UNN) Sdn Bhd and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) as gold sponsors, with the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry serving as a silver sponsor and several organizations participating as bronze sponsors.

Cultural Performances

The event concluded with cultural performances by students, which provided an engaging finale to the evening.
