“Management and Science University (MSU) Named ASEAN’s Most Transformative and Impactful TVET University at META 2025”

Management and Science University (MSU) has been recognized as ASEAN’s Most Transformative and Impactful TVET University during the Malaysian Education and TVET Awards (META) 2025. The award was presented on August 28 at the Manhattan Ballroom in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
A Brief Overview of the Event
The event was organized by Education TVET Asia in partnership with HR Hub and featured the participation of Datuk Ts Mustapha Sakmud, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education. This occasion coincided with the ASEAN HR Excellence Award 2025.
Key Attendees
Several key figures attended the ceremony, including Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, President and Founder of MSU; Dato’ Rosli Yusof, Senior Vice President for Endowment and Communication; and Professor Dr. Abdul Jalil Ghazali, Senior Vice President for Industry Linkages and Entrepreneurship, along with other senior officials and faculty members.
Forum on Future Skills
During the event, a forum titled “Skills for the Future, Smarter Pathways: Innovating Education & TVET for a Changing World” was held. Professor Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid addressed the shifting demands of Industry Revolution 4.0, the rebranding of TVET as a preferred educational option, and the need for stronger collaborations between academic institutions and industries.
MSU’s Commitment to Education
MSU is noted for its robust industry partnerships and job guarantee initiatives, which contribute to its reputation as a leader in high-end TVET education. Additionally, on May 31, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, inaugurated four new high-end TVET programs at MSU, scheduled to commence in September 2025. These programs will include two years of structured Work-Based Learning (WBL) with established industry partners.
