Mahidol University Lectures at ASEAN SDGs Youth Camp: Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development
On November 6, 2024, Mahidol University conducted a series of lectures as part of the “ASEAN SDGs Youth Camp: Leveraging Digital Innovation for the SDGs.” Assistant Professor Ittichote Chuckpaiwong, Ph.D., who serves as Vice President for Infrastructure and Environment, presented a lecture titled “Explore MU’s SDGs Achievements on Campus.” This lecture highlighted the university’s initiatives related to natural resource management, including water resource management, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Youth Camp Overview
The youth camp, held from November 4 to 8, 2024, was organized in partnership with the Global Partnerships Division of Mahidol University, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the ASEAN Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD). The event attracted university administrators, students, and youth delegates from various ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste, who convened at the Prachasangkom Udompathana Meeting Room at the Institute for Population and Social Research within Mahidol University in Salaya.
Key Presentations
In addition to the keynote lecture, several topics were covered during the event. Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, delivered a presentation on “Digital Innovation for Environmental Sustainability.” Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), spoke on “Digital Innovation for Healthcare Delivery.” Furthermore, the Dean of ICT took part in a panel discussion focused on “Digital Innovation in Health and Well-being,” which included contributions from representatives of both the public and private sectors.
