Chula Leaders Meet Monash University to Boost Academic and Research Cooperation

A delegation of executives from Chulalongkorn University, led by President Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, visited Monash University to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The Chulalongkorn delegation was welcomed by Professor Craig Jeffrey, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) and Senior Vice-President of Monash University, along with senior representatives from the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the Faculty of Arts.
During the visit, both universities engaged in in-depth discussions on expanding cooperation in key areas, including the development of dual-degree and joint-degree programs, transnational education initiatives, faculty and student exchange opportunities, and joint research projects. They also explored the possibility of co-hosting future international academic conferences.
As part of the engagement, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts, symbolizing mutual respect and the strengthening of institutional ties. The delegation also toured Monash Innovation Labs, where they examined ongoing projects and discussed potential collaboration in engineering, innovation, and applied research.
The visit provided a platform for both universities to share institutional practices and identify new avenues for academic partnership. It reflects a shared commitment to advancing global education, research excellence, and innovation-driven cooperation.
This engagement further reinforces Chulalongkorn University’s internationalization strategy and its goal of building sustainable, long-term global academic partnerships.
