Telekom Research & Development Sdn Bhd (TM R&D), the innovation arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad and a subsidiary of Multimedia University, secured two wins at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2026 on 2 April 2026. The organisation was recognised in the Network and Broadband – Telecommunications and Automation – Telecommunications categories.
The awards highlight TM R&D’s development of ANTRIX and SMART-E, two advanced platforms designed to enhance network performance and automate large-scale infrastructure processes. ANTRIX enables real-time monitoring and intelligent network management, improving response times and operational efficiency. Meanwhile, SMART-E streamlines Optical Line Terminal (OLT) migration, reducing manual work while ensuring seamless service continuity.
Presented by Asian Business Review, the awards celebrate innovation and digital transformation. This achievement underscores TM R&D’s commitment to advancing research-driven solutions and strengthening Malaysia’s telecommunications infrastructure.
