University of Kurdistan Reviews Arbaeen Pilgrimage Plans and Martyrs Conference Preparations
The University of Kurdistan hosted a coordination meeting on July 28, 2026, to review preparations for Arbaeen pilgrimage activities and the upcoming Martyrs Conference. The session brought together university officials, representatives from relevant departments, and coordinators involved in organising the events.
According to the university’s public relations office, participants discussed the latest arrangements for the participation of university members in the Arbaeen walking pilgrimage, along with the progress of executive activities related to the Martyrs Conference.
During the meeting, the President of the University of Kurdistan expressed appreciation for the university community’s participation in the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader, noting that the event was successfully conducted without major challenges.
Speaking about the Arbaeen pilgrimage programme, the university president stated that academics and staff members will continue their participation as in previous years. Registration for university participants is expected to begin from August 5, with further arrangements to be announced.
The meeting also highlighted ongoing efforts for the Martyrs Conference, with officials reporting significant progress in various areas. University departments were requested to submit their activity reports by the end of the week to support the preparation of a comprehensive review of completed initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthen coordination and ensure the successful implementation of both programmes.
