New Beginnings for 7,830 Students at AY 2025 Commencement Ceremonies

Keio University held its undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies on March 23 at Hiyoshi Commemorative Hall, celebrating the achievements of 7,830 graduates. The graduating class included 6,231 undergraduate students and 1,599 postgraduate students across 10 faculties and 14 graduate schools.
The morning ceremony honored graduate students, with Vice-President Yoshimitsu Matsuura presenting the class report, followed by President Kohei Itoh conferring degrees and delivering a congratulatory address. Faculty representative Koji Hase also shared remarks, and the ceremony concluded with the university’s anthem, “Juku-ka.”
In the afternoon, undergraduate graduates were recognized in a similar ceremony, where President Itoh encouraged students to carry forward the curiosity and determination developed at Keio. Alumni representative Teiko Kudo inspired graduates to contribute meaningfully to society, while valedictorian Yuki Masuda reflected on the student journey.
The event also welcomed alumni celebrating their 25th anniversary, highlighting strong community ties and marking a memorable transition for the Class of 2026.
