UBD’s Climate Fresk Workshop: Empowering Youth Ambassadors for Sustainability
On November 5, 2025, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) hosted a Climate Fresk Session aimed at empowering students involved in the UBD Sustainability Youth Ambassador Programme (SYAP). This event, organized by the Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Sustainability, spanned three hours and sought to enhance participants’ understanding of climate change and inspire actionable initiatives.
Interactive Learning Experience
The session was facilitated by My Actions for SDGs and utilized an interactive card game based on reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). This approach enabled participants to explore the causes and effects of climate change and to collaboratively navigate the complex systems related to these issues.
Commitment to Sustainability Education
The workshop aligns with UBD’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability knowledge and engage students in community initiatives. It reflects the objectives outlined in UBD’s Sustainability Masterplan, which aims to develop sustainability leaders through transformative educational experiences.
Preparing Youth for the Future
Through this initiative, UBD demonstrates its commitment to fostering an informed and proactive youth community prepared to contribute to sustainability efforts both on campus and in wider society.
