UCU Officials Visit and Support Athletes at the 14th LCUAA National Games

Officials from Urdaneta City University (UCU) recently visited the athletes of the UCU Knights Reborn as they competed at the 14th Local Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (LCUAA) National Games. The event occurred at the City College of San Jose Del Monte (CCSJDMC) in Bulacan on October 22, 2025.
UCU Delegation
The UCU delegation comprised key personnel, including Atty. Dar A. Diga, Chief Operating Officer; Dr. Josephine S. Lambinicio, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Atty. Michael Henry C. Sevilleja, Vice President for Administration; and Atty. Adrianne Ivory G. Noble, Board of Regents Secretary. Additional attendees included Jovelyn S. Rivera-De Leon, University Librarian; Kenn D. Pangan, Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Administration; Jeffrey M. Caoile, University Student Council Adviser; and Ryan Jayson V. Delos Reyes, Dean of the College of Teacher Education.
Purpose of the Visit
The purpose of the visit was to assess the well-being of the UCU athletes and their coaches, along with evaluating their accommodations at Minuyan Elementary School during the week-long competition. During this visit, UCU officials also met with Dr. Roger S. Ambida, President of CCSJDMC, and other LCUAA representatives to discuss updates regarding the national games.
Recognition of Contributions
As part of their visit, the UCU delegation recognized Dr. Hilarion Olimpo, Sports Coordinator and Head Coach of the Knights Reborn, by presenting a birthday cake on October 21, acknowledging his contributions to the university’s athletic program.
Upcoming Events
The 14th LCUAA National Games are scheduled to continue until October 25, 2025. The participation of UCU officials at the event underscores the university’s commitment to supporting the development of its student-athletes, emphasizing a balance between academic and athletic excellence.
