Investing in Vietnam’s Future: A Collaborative Approach to Research and Innovation

RMIT University has announced a AU$25 million investment aimed at enhancing research and innovation in Vietnam, coinciding with a visit from Australia’s Governor-General, Her Excellency Sam Mostyn AC. This funding is designated for the expansion of research initiatives and the development of the university’s infrastructure and academic programs.
Nobel Prize Exhibition and Dialogue 2025
In conjunction with this investment, RMIT Vietnam, together with the Embassy of Sweden, is set to host the Nobel Prize Exhibition and Dialogue 2025 from 8 to 19 September 2025. The exhibition intends to facilitate connections among delegates, academics, and students while examining the societal contributions of Nobel laureates.
Enhanced Educational Partnerships
Furthermore, RMIT University is preparing to enhance its educational partnerships in Vietnam through an expanded PhD program as part of the AU$25 million funding initiative. This development underscores RMIT’s commitment to transnational education and its longstanding relationship with Vietnam.
Sustainability Impact Challenge (SIC) 2025
The Sustainability Impact Challenge (SIC) 2025 also concluded on 8 September 2025 with a ceremony at RMIT Vietnam’s Saigon South campus. This six-month initiative focused on fostering sustainable solutions through collaboration between students and industry partners.
