Peer Facilitators Reorganized to Enhance Student Leadership at University of Northern Philippines

The Peer Facilitators Club, affiliated with the University of Northern Philippines’ Guidance and Counseling Services, has recently undergone a reorganization for the academic year 2025-2026. The reorganization process was highlighted by an event named “Pagsibol ng Bagong Tinig,” which occurred on August 27, 2025, at the Student Center’s Ground Floor.
Event Details
The event featured the election of new officers, guided by advisers Mrs. Rowena Mamuad and Dr. Marifel Acena, the head of the Student Welfare Services Office. Ms. Gian Quindipan from the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program was elected as President, while Mr. Kurt Taruna from the Bachelor of Science in Criminology program was appointed as Vice President. The executive team also includes positions for Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Business Managers, and College Representatives.
Purpose of Reorganization
This reorganization is intended to support the growth and resilience of the club and reinforce its commitment to providing effective initiatives for student support. The University of Northern Philippines underscores the significance of student-led organizations in cultivating a robust campus community that promotes both social and academic development among students.
