Chula and BAT Collaborate to Enhance Sports Science and Develop Elite Athletes

Chulalongkorn University and the Badminton Association of Thailand have formalized an academic cooperation agreement aimed at advancing sports science and improving the performance of badminton athletes in Thailand. The signing ceremony occurred on April 21, 2025, at the Chamchuri Building 4 and included the participation of Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, President of the Badminton Association of Thailand.
Key Objectives of the Partnership
The partnership outlines several key objectives: enhancing the training of sports science personnel, developing elite athletes, and increasing representation in international badminton competitions. Initiatives will include the establishment of training programs for sports scientists, the organization of national and international conferences in sports science, and collaborative research efforts.

This agreement seeks to develop athletes systematically from grassroots to elite levels, promoting sustained growth in the sports sector. The collaboration is also expected to enhance research capabilities within sports science and deliver essential services aimed at achieving excellence both domestically and internationally.
