De La Salle University KIST Park Strengthens Industry Links Through Open House Event

De La Salle University hosted industry, government, academe, civic leaders, and students at the DLSU KIST Park Open House and Networking Event held on its Laguna Campus last May 7, highlighting its expanding role as an innovation and collaboration hub.

In his keynote message, DLSU President Br. Bernard Oca, FSC emphasized that KIST Park embodies the university’s vision of innovation that extends beyond research laboratories into real-world applications. He noted that it serves as a platform where ideas are transformed into solutions and partnerships drive meaningful societal progress.

The event marked the formal signing of agreements with two major industry partners, AstraZeneca and D.M. Consunji Technical Training Center, Inc., both of which will establish dedicated hubs within the KIST Park ecosystem.

AstraZeneca will launch the AZ-Health Innovation Hub, focusing on clinical research, training, education, and specialized healthcare initiatives, including a lung cancer command center. Meanwhile, DMCTTCI will develop a construction education and training hub aimed at bridging gaps between academic theory and industry practice through applied learning and research.

Representatives from government agencies and industry organizations also attended, underscoring strong multi-sector support. KIST Park, recognized as the first private higher education institution ecozone in the Philippines, integrates academia, industry, and government to advance innovation, sustainability, and commercialization of research-driven solutions.
