HELP University Students Explore Global Beverage Innovation at MONIN Asia: A Field Trip to Enhance Learning

On November 10, 2025, thirty students from the HELP University School of Hospitality and Tourism participated in a field trip to the MONIN Asia factory. This visit aimed to integrate academic knowledge with practical experience, enhancing students’ understanding of beverage production, flavor innovation, and the dynamics of global hospitality supply chains.

Introduction to MONIN Asia

The event commenced with an introduction from the MONIN Asia team, who provided an overview of the company’s history and detailed its extensive product range, which includes over 150 natural flavors. The team highlighted MONIN’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices and responsible ingredient sourcing, providing context regarding the operations of a global brand.

Production Facility Tour

Following the presentation, students toured the production facility, observing the manufacturing process from syrup formulation and ingredient blending to pasteurization, bottling, and final quality control. This firsthand experience illustrated the rigorous standards necessary for international distribution and product consistency.

Interactive Tasting Session

An interactive tasting session, led by MONIN’s flavor experts, was a key component of the trip. Students sampled various syrups, purees, and gourmet sauces, exploring their versatility in creating a range of beverages, from cocktails to specialty coffees.
