“KKU’s Faculty of Education Hosts Academic Conferences on AI Innovation and Human Skills for Future-Ready Industry 5.0 Education”

The Faculty of Education at Khon Kaen University (KKU) organized notable academic conferences, including the 18th International Conference on Educational Research (ICER2025) and the 5th National Teacher Induction Expo (NTIE2025), on August 22-23, 2025. The events were held at the Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre, focusing on the theme “Empowering Future-Ready Education: Bridging AI Innovation and Human Skills for Industry 5.0.”
Participant Engagement
These conferences attracted over 450 participants, comprising academics, educators, researchers, and faculty representatives, with the aim of facilitating knowledge exchange and promoting educational innovation. The opening ceremony featured remarks from Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of KKU, and a report delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education.
Opening Address Highlights
During the opening address, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai highlighted the necessity of collaboration among various educational stakeholders to enhance knowledge generation for a sustainable society. He expressed appreciation for the contributions of speakers, presenters, sponsors, and participants, wishing for the conferences to achieve successful and fruitful outcomes.
Keynote Speakers
The conferences included presentations from several keynote speakers. Professor Dr. Mike Trevisan from Washington State University presented a lecture titled “Establishing Trust in AI: Toward an Industry 5.0 Ethical Framework.” Other prominent speakers included Professor Dr. Ting Ting Wu from the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, who addressed “AI Synergies for Future-Ready Education,” and Professor Dr. Panita Wannapiroon from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, who discussed “AI Nexus for Future-Ready Innovation.”
Workshops and Presentations
Additionally, the events featured workshops, research showcases, and academic sessions for both oral and poster presentations, with over 190 research works highlighted across the conferences.

The collaboration exemplified the Faculty of Education’s commitment to furthering educational research and innovations essential for addressing the challenges associated with the rapid advancements of Industry 5.0. The faculty intends to positively impact the quality of education in Thailand and the ASEAN region.
