Nurturing Innovation: Business Students’ Visit to MRANTI at Multimedia University

A group of Diploma in Business Administration students from the Faculty of Business at Multimedia University visited the Malaysia Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) in Bukit Jalil on May 14, 2025.
About MRANTI
MRANTI functions as Malaysia’s national agency dedicated to accelerating research and innovation. It aims to support initiatives that promote sustainable development by providing infrastructure, mentorship, and commercialization pathways, thereby fostering an inclusive and innovative ecosystem in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Student Experience
The students participated in guided tours of the Makers Lab, Robotics Centre, and 5G Centre, where they learned about the resources available for developing technological solutions to address global challenges. This experience highlighted the importance of advancing sustainable and responsible innovation across various industries.
Interactive Sharing Session
A significant aspect of the visit was a sharing session led by Ms. Razana Nawawi, a Senior Associate at MRANTI, which included interactive discussions with MRANTI experts. The students presented updates on their prototype projects and sought professional feedback to enhance these ideas. This engagement aimed at refining their projects to achieve greater social, environmental, and economic benefits, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive growth.
Encouragement for Future Innovators
Representatives from MRANTI acknowledged the students’ enthusiasm and encouraged those with viable startup concepts to utilize MRANTI’s resources, such as innovation labs, mentorship, and startup support programs. This engagement underscores the importance of collaboration in accelerating innovation to contribute positively to sustainable development. The visit offered valuable experiences and served to motivate students to develop their innovative ideas into real-world solutions aligned with the SDGs.
