The University of Tsukuba conducted the opening ceremony for the Intensive Japanese Course tailored for Monbukagakusho Scholarship students on April 15, 2025, at the Center for Education of Global Communication (CEGLOC). The ceremony featured the participation of enrolled students alongside CEGLOC staff.

Inaugural Speech

Professor Masaki Ono, affiliated with the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences and serving as Director of CEGLOC, presented the inaugural speech during the event.

Course Overview

This four-month Japanese language course at CEGLOC aims to assist eleven international students in acclimating to life and academic environments in Japan. The participating students come from a variety of countries, including Algeria, Ethiopia, Gambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Pakistan, Peru, Botswana, Malaysia, and Morocco.
