Chula President Welcomes President of Oregon State University for Academic Collaboration
On March 17, 2025, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, welcomed a delegation from Oregon State University, led by Professor Jayathi Y. Murthy. The meeting took place in the reception room of the Chamchuri 4 Building with an emphasis on fostering academic collaboration.
Strengthening Partnerships
During the discussions, representatives from both institutions evaluated potential avenues for strengthening partnerships across various fields, including engineering, business administration, agriculture, science, and artificial intelligence. An agreement was made to enhance educational exchange initiatives, which will facilitate greater student mobility between Chulalongkorn University and Oregon State University.

The meeting also included contributions from several key individuals, such as Assistant Professor Dr. Tewarit Sarachana, Assistant to the President for Global Engagement and International Networks; Professor Dr. Voranop Viyakarn, Director of the Research Institute for Water Resources; Associate Professor Dr. Piyaphong Chenrai, Head of the Department of Geology; and Assistant Professor Dr. Sukonmeth Jitmahantakul, from the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science.
