Going forward to further strengthen the University’s capacity and strategic leadership, Professor Sibrandes Poppema has been appointed as the President of Sunway University.
Professor Poppema joined the University in 2019 after retiring as the President of University of Groningen – one of the top international universities. He took on the role as the Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah Distinguished Professor, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the advisor to the Chancellor especially on the establishment of the new medical school at Sunway University.
