UCSI University Advances Public Health Awareness Through 24th Annual Campaign

UCSI University has launched its 24th Annual Public Health Campaign 2026 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, focusing on HPV and HIV prevention under the theme “Protection is Power, Love with Responsibility.” The three-day initiative aims to promote health awareness, reduce stigma surrounding these viruses, and encourage communities to adopt preventive measures through education and early detection.

Organised by students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the campaign featured free health screenings, interactive educational booths, and public exhibitions designed to provide accessible health information to visitors. Through these activities, participants gained greater understanding of HPV and HIV prevention, treatment options, and the importance of responsible health practices.

The opening ceremony was attended by prominent university and healthcare leaders, including UCSI University Council Chairman Dato’ Peter Ng, UCSI University President and Vice-Chancellor Prof Emeritus Datuk Ts Ir Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir, UCSI Healthcare Group Chairman Tan Sri Clinical Professor Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, and UCSI University Pro Vice-Chancellor (Springhill Campus) Prof Ir Dr Jimmy Mok Vee Hoong.

The annual campaign reflects UCSI University’s commitment to community health engagement by empowering the public with knowledge and promoting preventive healthcare. Through student-led initiatives and collaboration with healthcare professionals, the university continues to contribute towards building a more informed and health-conscious society.
