City University Malaysia and MODART International Paris Strengthen Global Fashion Education Collaboration

City University Malaysia has strengthened its international presence in fashion education through a strategic partnership with MODART International Paris, aimed at enhancing academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and global learning opportunities for students and academics.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Professor Dr. Rosnizah Shaari, Vice Chancellor of City University Malaysia, and Madame Marie Cherifi, Dean of MODART International Paris, with representatives from both institutions in attendance, including Associate Professor Jennifer Kong, Director of City Fashion School.
The partnership will support various initiatives, including academic programme development, guest lectures, international masterclasses, student portfolio enhancement, academic exchanges, and professional development opportunities for lecturers. Future plans include student mobility programmes, joint research, international showcases, and collaborative projects that connect learners with the global fashion industry.
Recognised as an international fashion education institution, MODART International Paris brings over two decades of expertise in Fashion Design, Fashion Management, and Fashion Communication. The collaboration reflects both institutions’ commitment to preparing graduates with creative, technical, and professional skills needed in an evolving global fashion landscape.
The partnership was further highlighted through the Global Fashion Forum 2026, where academics and industry experts discussed the future of fashion education, sustainability, digital innovation, cultural identity, and the growing influence of modest fashion.
