MMU and Institut Teknologi PLN Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

MMU has strengthened its international engagement by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN), Indonesia, at its Cyberjaya campus. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing academic excellence, research, innovation, and talent development through long-term collaboration.
The MoU was signed by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, and ITPLN Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iwa Garniwa, in the presence of senior university leaders and representatives from both institutions, including participants who joined virtually from Indonesia.
Under the partnership, MMU and ITPLN will collaborate on joint research projects, academic programmes, postgraduate education, student and staff mobility, and industry engagement initiatives. The collaboration aims to promote knowledge exchange, strengthen teaching and learning, and create opportunities for innovation that benefit both institutions and their communities.
As a member of Malaysia’s Government-Linked Universities (GLU) network, MMU continues to expand its global partnerships with leading universities. ITPLN, part of Indonesia’s Aliansi Perguruan Tinggi BUMN (APERTI BUMN), brings complementary expertise and a shared vision of preparing graduates for evolving industry and societal needs.
The partnership reinforces the commitment of both universities to fostering meaningful Malaysia–Indonesia academic cooperation and supporting the advancement of higher education, research, and innovation across the region.
