LPU Manila Students Gain International Exposure Through Osaka Edu Tour 2026

Students from Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila (LPU Manila) participated in the Osaka Edu Tour 2026, hosted by Osaka International University (OIU), Japan, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote global learning and cross-cultural engagement.
Organised through LPU Manila’s Center for Global Engagement, the programme combined online preparation sessions with a week-long immersive experience featuring academic activities, cultural exchanges, and experiential learning opportunities. Students participated in Japanese language classes, faculty-led lectures, campus activities, cultural workshops, and interactive sessions with OIU faculty members and students.
The programme enabled participants to gain deeper insights into Japan’s education system, traditions, and social practices while enhancing their intercultural communication skills and global perspectives. Beyond academic activities, students visited notable cultural sites including Osaka Castle, Byodo-in Temple, Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kinkaku-ji, and Nara Park. They also experienced Japanese cultural activities such as English Rakugo performances, traditional cuisine, and sushi-making workshops.
The Osaka Edu Tour 2026 reflects LPU Manila’s commitment to internationalisation by providing students with opportunities to build global networks and develop skills needed in an interconnected world. The initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through strengthened academic collaboration with international partners.
