University of Rawalpindi Promotes Drug-Free Lifestyle Through Awareness Campaign

The Sports and Wellness Club at the University of Rawalpindi (UOR) organised an awareness campaign to commemorate the International Day Against Drugs, highlighting the importance of drug prevention, healthy living, and responsible choices among students.

The initiative aimed to educate the university community about the harmful impacts of substance abuse while encouraging students to adopt positive lifestyles and contribute to building a safer, healthier society. The campaign featured a range of interactive activities designed to engage students and promote awareness about the risks associated with drug addiction.

A key highlight of the event was the Poster-Making Competition, where students used creativity to convey messages against drug abuse and promote prevention efforts. The Awareness Signature Wall also provided an opportunity for participants to share personal commitments and express their support for a drug-free environment.

Students and faculty members actively participated in the campaign, creating an atmosphere of awareness, collaboration, and social responsibility. Through these activities, UOR reinforced its commitment to student welfare, mental and physical well-being, and community engagement.

The event served as an important platform to encourage informed decision-making and inspire young people to take an active role in preventing substance abuse while promoting a culture of wellness across the campus.
