Partner Universities Square Highlights 12 Universities in the First Semester of 2026

The International Education and Student Mobility Division, together with the International Academic Research and Resource Center for Language Education (iARRC) of the Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences (ILAS), successfully organized the Partner Universities Square on 26 June in the ILAS Building lobby.
Held every semester during lunchtime, the event provides a platform for incoming international students to introduce their home universities and cultures while inspiring Kyoto University students to explore overseas study opportunities. This semester’s edition welcomed around 120 participants and featured presentations from 12 universities representing Europe, Asia, North America, Oceania, and Latin America.
Ten exchange students and two participants from the Amgen Scholars Program each delivered engaging two-minute flash presentations, creatively highlighting campus life, academic strengths, and unique aspects of their institutions from a student perspective. Their presentations offered attendees valuable insights into studying abroad and experiencing different cultures.
Following the presentations, students joined an interactive networking session where they had the opportunity to speak directly with the presenters, ask questions, and learn more about academic programs and student life at the partner institutions. The lively discussions continued well beyond the scheduled program.
By connecting students with representatives from leading international universities, Partner Universities Square strengthened global engagement on campus and encouraged greater participation in international exchange and study-abroad programs.
