APU and Heydoc Health Advance AI-Powered Telemedicine for Rural Malaysia

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) has strengthened its role as a leading digital technology university through a strategic partnership with Heydoc Health Sdn Bhd to advance AI-powered telemedicine for rural and underserved communities in Malaysia. Formalised through an MoU and MoA signed on 8 April 2026, the collaboration brings together academic expertise and industry capabilities to drive innovation in digital healthcare.
By integrating APU’s strengths in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and interdisciplinary research with Heydoc Health’s telemedicine platform, the initiative focuses on improving healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and affordability. Pilot projects in rural areas will assess AI-driven triage, teleconsultation, and digital prescriptions in real-world settings.
The partnership also promotes experiential learning, enabling students to engage in applied research and innovation projects. Ultimately, the collaboration aims to deliver scalable healthcare solutions, policy insights, and impactful outcomes that support Malaysia’s digital health transformation and enhance equitable access to quality care.
