Faculty of Health Sciences Students Take Their First Steps Toward Professional Careers

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Tarsus University held its traditional “Uniform Ceremony” and “White Coat Ceremony” for first-year students of the 2025–2026 academic year, marking an important milestone in their journey toward healthcare professions.

A total of 110 students from the Midwifery and Nursing programs proudly wore their white coats, while 69 students from the Speech-Language Pathology and Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation departments received their uniforms. The event symbolized their official entry into the healthcare field and their commitment to professional responsibility.

The ceremony took place at the Şehit İstihkâm Üsteğmen Ozan Olgu Köreke Conference Hall and was attended by university administrators, including Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serkan Şahin, Acting General Secretary Prof. Dr. Mehmet İnce, and Dean Prof. Dr. Duygu Sönmez Düzkaya, along with academic staff, students, and families.

In her address, Dean Düzkaya emphasized the importance of ethics, scientific knowledge, and responsibility in healthcare education. She highlighted the faculty’s mission to train competent and compassionate professionals prepared to serve society. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of uniforms and a commemorative group photo.
