Yala Rajabhat University Enhances Paramedic Education through International Collaboration in Japan

Yala Rajabhat University recently engaged in an academic exchange program in Japan, focusing on the management of paramedic education from January 13 to January 16, 2026. The delegation, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Sirichai Namburi, President of Yala Rajabhat University, included deans and deputy deans from the Faculty of Public Health and Allied Health Sciences. This initiative was organized in collaboration with the Thailand Association of Paramedic Profession and various partner universities.
Delegation Composition
The delegation comprised executives and members of curriculum development committees from institutions such as Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, and Bangkok Thonburi University, as well as academic experts from both public and private sectors. The primary aim of the program was to deepen understanding of Japan’s emergency medical service system and its recognized educational management models for paramedic training.
Knowledge Exchange Activities
Over the four-day visit, the delegation participated in discussions and knowledge exchanges with prominent organizations, including the Tokyo Fire Academy and Nakano Fire Station, which offer certificate-level paramedic training programs. Additionally, they visited Kokusai Iryo Fukushi Technical School in Chiba Prefecture, which provides two-year vocational education, and other notable institutions such as Nippon Sport Science University in Yokohama and Kokushikan University in Tokyo, both of which offer four-year undergraduate programs in emergency medical and related sciences.
Significance of the Collaboration
This collaboration is viewed as a significant step for Yala Rajabhat University in developing a paramedic curriculum that aligns with global standards. The initiative also aims to enhance international academic cooperation and supports the university’s mission to improve the quality of emergency medical personnel, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to operate effectively within Thailand’s emergency medical service system in a sustainable manner.
