MSU Fashion Week 2025: Celebrating Culture, Creativity, and Sustainable Fashion at Management and Science University

Management and Science University (MSU) held Fashion Week 2025, featuring a collaborative effort among 31 students from the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA). The event embraced the theme “Harmonisation of Arts & Culture,” highlighting creativity, talent, and innovation within the student body and the surrounding community.

Event Overview

Spanning from October 28 to November 3, the week-long event presented various cultural influences through fashion, art, and performance. It served as a platform to support emerging designers and individuals committed to sustainable fashion practices, attracting over 3,000 participants, including students, faculty, industry representatives, and the general public.

Engagement and Activities

Participants had the opportunity to engage with 27 vendors at pop-up booths and enjoy a range of performances, which included music technology demonstrations and dance routines. A series of workshops covered significant themes, such as sustainability and textile collaboration, featuring experts from institutions including the UEDA College of Fashion in Japan.

Social Responsibility Initiative

In support of social responsibility, the Upcycle Project was reintroduced, allowing students to create fashion items from repurposed materials. Items such as tote bags produced through this initiative will be donated to children from a local welfare organization, highlighting the university’s commitment to community support.
