University of Luzon Hosts Innovative Sui Blockchain Development Workshop for Computer Studies Students

The University of Luzon, through its College of Computer Studies, conducted a full-day workshop on October 9, 2025, titled “Sui PH: Move In Campus.” The event took place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aiming to provide students and faculty with vital knowledge about decentralized technology, specifically focusing on Sui Blockchain and the Move programming language.

Workshop Curriculum

The workshop featured a comprehensive curriculum, beginning with an introduction to the foundational architecture of the Sui network. Participants engaged in hands-on exercises that guided them through the smart contract creation process. Advanced topics included the development of decentralized applications (dApps) on the Sui network, along with an exploration of Walrus, an essential component of the ecosystem.

Expert Facilitation

A team of blockchain professionals, comprising country leads and developers from the Sui network, facilitated the workshop, offering practical insights and mentorship. Participants were encouraged to engage actively in discussions and development sessions throughout the program.

University’s Educational Goals

This initiative demonstrates the University of Luzon’s aim to incorporate in-demand skills related to blockchain and smart contract development into its educational framework. The objective is to prepare students for success in the increasingly dynamic digital economy.
