Doctoral Promotion Test for H. Herman Deru at Universitas Sriwijaya’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences

A doctoral promotion test was held at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri) on June 30, 2025. The event took place at the Faculty of Law in Tower Level 8, featuring H. Herman Deru, the Governor of South Sumatra Province, as the candidate.

Dissertation Presentation

H. Herman Deru presented his dissertation entitled “The Implementation Model of Infrastructure-Based Inclusive Development Policy in South Sumatra.” The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Taufiq Marwa, the Rector of Unsri. Supervising the candidate were Promoter Prof. Dr. Alfitri, Co-Promotor Dr. Andries Leonardo, and Dr. Ir. Abdul Najib.

Panel of Examiners

The panel of examiners consisted of several academics, including Prof. Ir. Zainuddin Nawawi, P.HD., Prof. Dr. Ir. Sriyati, M.S., Dr. M. Husni Thamrin, M.Sc., Dr. Alamsyah, S.I.P., M.Sc., and guest examiner Prof. Dr. Bambang Supriyono, M.S., from Brawijaya University.

Outcome of the Examination

Following a comprehensive examination process marked by professionalism and rigorous discussion, H. Herman Deru received a ‘very satisfying’ grade, thereby attaining a Doctorate in Public Administration from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Sriwijaya.
