TomoPro! 2025 Crowdfunding Program: Now Open for Student Proposals at Tohoku University

Tohoku University has initiated a new round of the “Tomoni” crowdfunding program, inviting students to submit proposals aimed at achieving personal aspirations, addressing social challenges, or engaging in community-oriented projects.

The Tomoni Programme

The Tomoni Programme, commonly known as “Tomopro!”, was established in October 2021 with the goal of empowering students to shape their futures through crowd-sourced initiatives and collaboration with sponsors who support their endeavors.

Funding and Support

Proposals selected for funding will be showcased on the university’s crowdfunding platform. Successful applicants will receive financial support from the Tohoku University Fund, along with mentorship, professional guidance, and assistance from alumni and university stakeholders.

The application window is open from May 1 to June 2, 2025. Applications will be reviewed in July, and approved projects will enter the crowdfunding phase in October and November, followed by the implementation of the projects.
