Peking University Shougang Hospital Doctor Receives Prestigious ECSA 2025 Hippocratic Award
Dr. Li Tao of Peking University Shougang Hospital has been awarded the Hippocratic Excellence Award at the 2025 Excellence Case Sharing Award (ECSA) Grand Final, which occurred on December 13, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Acknowledgment of Expertise
The award highlighted the theme “Prevention and Management of Pressure Injury among Children and Adults.” Dr. Li, who holds the position of Associate Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Shougang Hospital and serves as the Chief of Wound Repair at Handan Iron and Steel Group Hospital, was selected for this honor based on his extensive knowledge and clinical expertise. He competed against 155 participants from 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Focus of the Project
Dr. Li’s project focused on the complexities of managing pressure injuries throughout the treatment process. The team’s strategy included personalized adjustments based on evidence-based guidelines, demonstrating a commitment to both the precision of medical practices and the importance of compassionate patient care.
