KKU Welcomes International Students at Modindang Campus: Orientation for Trimester 2/2025

On November 21, 2025, Khon Kaen University (KKU) hosted an orientation for international students as part of the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The event took place at Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 3 in the Sirikunakorn Building and was organized by the International Affairs Division (IAD).

Welcome Address

The orientation featured presentations by Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs. These addresses aimed to welcome the new students and provide essential information about the university.

Interactive Opportunities

This orientation offered international students the chance to interact with peers from various cultural backgrounds while gaining insights into the services available at the university. Information was provided about resources from several university departments, including the IAD, the Graduate School, the Office of Academic Administration and Development, the Office of Digital Technology, the Library, and the Division of Sport. The event concluded with a session entitled “International Student Talk and Share,” where members of the International Student Club relayed their experiences at KKU.

International Student Enrollment

At present, KKU has over 800 international students enrolled. Feedback from those attending the orientation indicated a favorable atmosphere, aligning with the university’s aim to promote internationalization.

Campus Tour

Following the orientation, the IAD facilitated a campus tour, enabling students to explore KKU’s Green Campus, recognized for its tranquil surroundings. Participants learned about campus navigation and notable landmarks, which many found beneficial.

Student Feedback

Several students expressed gratitude for the university’s modern facilities, including the KKU Smart Transit Service, and emphasized the appealing campus landscape. Additionally, they noted the strong sense of community and support from fellow students, faculty, and staff, who were readily available to assist them.
