X-Change Summit 2025: Empowering Young STEAM Innovators at Multimedia University

The X-Change Summit 2025 was recently conducted at Multimedia University’s Melaka campus, drawing more than 800 participants and over 1,000 attendees, including educators, parents, and school visitors from various regions in Malaysia. This event was organized collaboratively by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Association of Young Innovators and Technologists, with the objective of inspiring and empowering emerging talents in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
Competitive Events and Activities
The summit provided a platform for various competitive events, featuring six main competitions: the InnoXTech Challenge, RoboticX, Mathematical Olympiad X (MOX), CubeX, CodeX, and StacX. Additional activities included multiple booths and showcase events such as a Blockathon, the LadyBug Robot Hackathon, and interactive displays by the MMU Robocon Team and MMU SEMA Team. Prior to the main event, a series of Pre-X Workshops prepared over 130 participants and educators for the competitions.
Notable Attendees and Recognition
The summit was attended by YB Allex Seah Shoo Chin, the EXCO for Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs in Melaka, along with international judges from Naresuan University in Thailand. The Ministry of Education officially recognized the summit as a national-level program, allowing participants to earn PAJSK marks for their involvement. The event has been noted for its significance in promoting STEAM education among stakeholders.
