Welcome to Politeknik Brunei: Orientation Week for New Students in July 2025

Politeknik Brunei has welcomed 807 new students as part of its Orientation Week for the 15th Intake of the July 2025 session in the Academic Year 2025/2026. The official launch took place on July 8, 2025, at Munawwarah Hall, Setia Point, Berakas. The incoming cohort includes 454 female students and 353 male students.
Orientation Ceremony Highlights
The orientation commenced with the singing of the National Anthem by the Student Council, followed by a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah. The Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, YM Pengiran Dr. Saiful Baharin bin Pengiran Duraman, delivered a keynote address during the event and officiated the enrolment process for the new students, offering a welcome to those beginning their educational journey at the institution.
The ceremony was attended by various officials, including the Assistant Directors of Politeknik Brunei, Senate Members, and heads of divisions, centres, and schools, as well as staff members.
Student Pledge and Objectives
A key moment during the ceremony included a pledge recited by 22 students, led by Awang Muhammad Ali Zahin from the Level 5 Diploma Programme in Health Sciences (Dental Hygiene and Therapy).
The objective of the orientation is to promote participation and cooperation, thereby enhancing the sense of community among students and staff. The week features multiple programs, briefing sessions, and activities designed to assist students in acclimating to life at Politeknik Brunei.
