The Opening Ceremony of the 2025 BNU Global Campus International Cultural Festival and Fifth Jingshi Students Global Education Festival

Beijing Normal University (BNU) recently held the opening ceremony for the 2025 Global Campus International Cultural Festival and the Fifth Jingshi Students Global Education Festival on May 24. The event attracted thousands of teachers and students, highlighting the university’s commitment to cultural exchange.

Parade of National Flags

The ceremony commenced with the Parade of National Flags. Student representatives from 50 countries participated by carrying their national flags, demonstrating the diversity of the university’s global community.

Cultural and Artistic Performances

During the event, guests and student representatives jointly unveiled a themed model that symbolizes cultural integration. A cultural and artistic performance featured various acts, including a dance titled “Mongolian Girl” and a Chinese folk music piece named “Blooming Flowers and Full Moon.”

National Cultural Booths

The festival also included over 30 national cultural booths that showcased traditional costumes, handicrafts, interactive games, and ethnic foods, reflecting the rich traditions of various regions. In particular, a dedicated booth for overseas exchange students presented activities associated with the Global Education Festival, focusing on three core projects: the “Global Competency Summer Training Camp,” “Overseas Study Camp,” and “Global Competition on Design for Future Education.”

Purpose of the Festival

The purpose of the 2025 BNU Global Campus International Cultural Festival and the Fifth Jingshi Students Global Education Festival is to enhance cultural confidence and broaden international perspectives while facilitating global cultural exchanges among teachers and students through diverse cultural displays and interactions.
