Career Fair 2025: Bridging Students and Industry Demands at Multimedia University

The Career Fair 2025 took place as a one-day event designed to connect academic learning with industry requirements, focusing on current employment trends. This initiative involved the participation of 40 companies, offering Multimedia University (MMU) students opportunities to explore various career paths, comprehend critical skills valued by employers, and engage directly with potential employers.

Event Organization

Organized by a student committee in cooperation with Career Connect and TalentBank, the event was inaugurated by the president of MMU, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud. During the opening, he emphasized the importance of such initiatives in preparing students for the competitive job market.

Student Participation

Attendance figures exceeded 1,700 students, who participated in discussions with industry representatives, took part in walk-in interviews, and gathered insights into a broad range of career options. The fair also aimed to help students enhance their soft skills, build confidence, and expand their professional networks.

Notable Attendees

Key figures present at the opening ceremony included Ben Ho, CEO of TalentBank, and Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience & Entrepreneurship Development. The event underscored MMU’s commitment to readying its students for success in a changing employment landscape.
