IPB University Partners with Grab for Eco-Friendly Transportation Initiatives

IPB University has formed a strategic partnership with PT Grab Teknologi Indonesia to advance environmentally friendly transportation solutions. The agreement was signed by Iki Sari Dewi, Director of Territory Jabo and ID Central Operations at Grab, and Prof. Iskandar Z. Siregar, Vice Rector of IPB University for Global Connectivity, Collaboration, and Alumni Relations. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Arif Satria, Rector of IPB University.
Inauguration of Grab Shelter
As part of the collaboration, a Grab Shelter was inaugurated at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), along with the provision of 15 electric motorcycles, also referred to as electric vehicles (EVs), by Grab for use within IPB University.
Enhanced Transportation Experience
Representatives indicated that the shelter is intended to improve the transportation experience for students by providing a more organized and comfortable environment, while also supporting the broader IPB University community in their daily mobility needs. Prof. Arif Satria noted appreciation for the construction of the shelter and the introduction of electric motorbikes, highlighting the potential for future collaboration across various areas, particularly in education.
Aiming for a Greener Future
This partnership seeks to create a greener transportation ecosystem and aims to contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions in Indonesia.
