Chula Economics Students Achieve Top Honors at National Undergraduate Economics Competition
Chulalongkorn University recently reported that its students achieved notable success at the Undergraduate Economics Quiz and Research Paper Presentation Competition, which took place on February 5, 2026, at Srinakharinwirot University. The competition featured participants from a total of 18 higher education institutions, both public and private, across Thailand.
Research Paper Presentation Winners
In the research paper presentation category, the first prize was awarded to Poonperm Phunchuen, a fourth-year student. His advisor for this project was Assistant Professor Dr. Pongsak Luangaram.
Economics Quiz Competition
In addition, the Faculty of Economics team earned the first runner-up position in the economics quiz competition. The team consisted of three students from the third and fourth years: Nuengruethai Trakunphithakkit, Siwat Panpetch, and Trairat Korpnichakul. They were guided by Associate Professor Dr. Nipit Wongpunya, Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharapong Ratisukpimol, and Dr. Chanon Thongthai.
