Nanjing University Team Secures Grand Prize at 2025 CUPT East China Division

The 8th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (East China Division) concluded on May 25, with a team from Nanjing University (NJU) securing the Grand Prize. The event, organized by the CUPT (East China Division) Committee, featured participation from nearly 500 participants, including teachers and students from 43 universities across East China.
Competition Overview
Following two days of competition, which included four rounds of challenges, NJU finished in second place overall. This marks the fourth consecutive year since 2022 that NJU has received the Grand Prize.
Preparation and Leadership
The university’s Center for Experimental Physics Education played a significant role in preparing the participants, who included students Lin Dukun, Jin Xiaoye, Hao Zhihan, Xie Minhao, and Che Junyi. Leadership was provided by Kong Shuo and Luo Yang, both of whom are sophomores in the School of Physics. Faculty members from the Center served as advisors, while judges for the event were sourced from the School of Physics.
Focus of the Competition
This year’s competition focused on fostering academic exchanges among participants, reinforcing traditions of collaboration and engagement in the field of physics. NJU’s team showcased a commitment to teamwork and exemplified the university’s academic standards in the subject. Assessments conducted by faculty judges were impartial, earning both team members and judges respect from their peers throughout the competition.
