Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Contributes 14 Research Papers to the Third “JISR” Forum Supporting Defense R&D

Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University participated in the third edition of the “JISR” Forum held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Fairmont Riyadh Hotel, organized by the General Authority for Defense Development. The event brought together more than 20 Saudi universities, alongside researchers, experts, and industry stakeholders focused on advancing defense-related innovation.
The university was represented by 14 researchers from its faculty and staff, who presented a series of specialized research papers and projects in advanced technological and defense domains. These contributions reflected the institution’s strong commitment to scientific research, innovation, and national development priorities.
The research showcased by the university covered a wide range of cutting-edge fields, including artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, unmanned systems, smart radar technologies, and advanced communication systems. Projects included developments in ultra-precision radar systems, multi-target tracking technologies, AI-based adaptive jamming strategies, and reinforcement learning applications for electronic warfare environments.
Additional research addressed multifunction radar design, sensor data fusion, and anti-jamming techniques using deep learning, as well as innovations in antenna systems and radio frequency technologies. These included waveguide power dividers, RF front-end arrays, and smart antenna applications for modern defense systems.
The participation highlights the university’s role in strengthening research partnerships, supporting technology localization, and aligning academic outputs with the strategic needs of the defense sector. The “JISR” Forum continues to serve as a platform for integrating academic research with industrial applications to advance national defense capabilities.
