Thanksgiving Mass Celebration for PSU@46: Honoring Five Decades of Quality Education at Pangasinan State University

Pangasinan State University (PSU) observed its 46th anniversary with a Thanksgiving Mass that occurred across its nine campuses. The central event took place on July 1, 2025, at the DTNB Convention Hall in the Main Campus, where Rev. Fr. Joseph T. Fernandez led the Mass, attended by members of the Catholic community.

During his address, Fr. Fernandez highlighted PSU’s dedication to quality education, emphasizing the significance of character development and spiritual well-being alongside academic success. He pointed out that while the university successfully prepares professionals, such accomplishments lack meaning without a foundation of strong character. He encouraged the nurturing of both students and staff to become individuals who embody values contributing to their personal and professional advancement.

University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas conveyed appreciation for the many successes and blessings experienced by PSU and its community, which includes students, employees, and other stakeholders. The Thanksgiving Mass also included participation from university and campus officials, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff.
