Young Future Energy Leaders Programme Graduates Honoured by Khalifa University

Khalifa University of Science and Technology has honoured 50 participants of its Young Future Energy Leaders (YFEL) programme during its 16th annual graduation ceremony, celebrating the completion of a year-long journey focused on sustainability and leadership development.
Established in 2010, the YFEL programme has grown into a globally recognised platform, with an alumni network of over 680 members contributing across academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and public service. The initiative aims to empower young leaders to address pressing global challenges in energy and sustainability.
The 2025 cohort followed a structured three-phase framework, beginning with foundational knowledge in energy systems and climate science, progressing to hands-on projects in renewable energy and emerging technologies, and culminating in leadership-driven, real-world applications. A key highlight was participation in the 5th German-Emirati Sustainability Days, showcasing international collaboration and innovation.
Through such initiatives, Khalifa University continues to strengthen youth engagement in sustainability, equipping future leaders with the knowledge, skills, and global perspective needed to drive impactful solutions.
