Helping Students Navigate and Succeed in an AI-Powered Future

Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is set to transform its undergraduate education by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) across its curriculum. Under its NTU2030 strategic plan, the university aims to embed AI into 40% of courses across all 52 undergraduate programmes by 2030—an eightfold increase from the current 5%.

Half of these AI-enabled courses will focus on personalised learning through AI-powered tools, while the other half will equip students with the skills to build, deploy, and manage AI agents to solve real-world challenges. To support this initiative, all undergraduates will gain access to advanced tools such as Gemini Enterprise, Google AI Studio, and Vertex AI, along with computing credits to develop their own AI solutions.

NTU has also introduced its AI Learning Assistant platform to provide personalised academic support, enabling students to learn more effectively. Graduates will retain access to their AI tools and agents, enhancing their long-term employability.

Through this initiative, NTU aims to prepare students not only to use AI, but to collaborate with it responsibly and innovatively, positioning them for success in an increasingly AI-driven global economy.
